Well our first world race is over. We're sitting here ruminating over the experience of swimming almost the same distance as we will swim in our olympic distance race only no wet suits were allowed today. The run was fast and short. Renee suspicions that top half of the women were on steroids as she never did see anyone in her age category. The swim was against the tide..people were passing on both sides of the bouys. Mary Ann suspicions that there was no way they could keep track of people actually doing the correct course cause she never saw any of the winners in her age category..Where were they?? So the course was a 2.5k run, a 1000M swim and a 2.5K run.
When I(Mary Ann) wen running and diving into the water, my goggles flew off, but luckily I had followed Preben's instructions and had them on underneath my cap. Renee swears she was definitely in a rip tide at one point. Teresa had a good swim and run.
