Thoughts on the Night Before the Race......

I wanted to take a bit of time to share my thoughts with everyone as this huge journey we have all been on is coming to a climax.  I don't think I have ever been as nervous before a race.  It has been such a long time to lead up to something it almost feels like too much for my little emotions to handle. 

When I finished Nationals last year I thought tentatively of how it would be to go to a world championship and knew I should take the opportunity along with my team mates.  I never knew back then that so many of us would end up going.  It is amazing to be walking around here and see my friends from Chico hanging out at the coffee shop or walking down the street.  In a quiet moment today Reene and I talked about where we were just a few years ago.  It is definitely something to reflect on.

I feel so fortunate to have been part of this and I want to thank everyone for all the support they have given me through out this.  It has been quite a year!

I will go out there tomorrow and give it my all on the course.  I will remain focused and joyous and know that I have been given a chance to race with the best of the world.
