Day Two Australia......

We watched the sun rise over the ocean this morning!  It is a beautiful day and as I sit here eating a scone the rest are out riding their bikes.  Which means, yes, everyones luggage arrived last night...what a relief.  We went to bed at 8:30 last night which was a s far as we could get trying to stay awake.....so we all had a good nights sleep and feel relatively "normal" today.  We spent the morning putting our bikes together and everything looks good...except for Margaret who is without pedals because the person who packed her bike left them out of the box.  That seems pretty minor in the big scheme of things.

I heard that Elizabeth spent a lot of yesterday at the medical area because she was bitten by a spider in the cab on the way from the airport.  I think she is OK but will report more on that later.

Sue and Kim were spotted at the supermarket with brimming over the top shopping carts!  Apparently they are shopping for the whole week.

At the condo we enjoyed a gourmet dinner prepared by Teresa.  We are close to the supermarket so it is my turn today to go today. I am going to make us steaks tonight.

So bikes together, gear all layed out, acclimating to the time.....what else needs to be done?  Thursday will be the big day to get registered and get in on the festivities.

Wait...how could I forget the fun actually begins on Wednesday when Margaret and Mary Ann participate in the Aquathon.....swim run event.  More on that later!!

  1. Sounds like you guys have it together, except for the spider bite and the missing bike pedals!
    Good luck to the swimmers!
