Live From Australia...We made it!!!

Well we are finally here.  Hard to believe after so much planning.  I flew over with Margaret Bomberg.  We went from Chico To San Fran to LA.  In the LA airport at our departure gate were many members of USAT going to Gold Coast to race.  At least 2/3 of the flight were people going to race from all over the United States and some from Mexico.  Margaret wanted to make sure to let you all know that she got carded when we got beer with our dinner at the airport!

It was a pretty smooth trip for us except for having a difficult time finding Qantas airlines in LA and having to move things around constantly in my bags to meet airport standards.

We are at the condo now and have a great place on the 12th floor overlooking the ocean.  We have a great kitchen, living room and balcony and we have already enjoyed a  lunch together after Teresa and Reene went to the supermarket and bought groceries.  We also saw Sue who was out on a little sight seeing run.

Well all is not smooth with everyone as Teresa, Reene, MJ, and Reene's mom have no luggage at all and the airlines does not know where it is.   They literally have nothing...no bikes or clothes. Reene thinks their stuff went to Japan. We are trying to remain positive as it will most likely get to them tomorrow.

We are all trying to stay up all day as it is really late evening in our bodies.  We were all able to sleep on the plane and so plan to stay up until a regular bed time.

While I am here at McDonalds..hmm..had to travel thousands of miles to sit in a McDonalds....how exciting!  Anyway it is the only place around with free wifi so.....the rest of the gang went over to the team hotel to check on whether the rest made it OK.

More tomorrow ..I am taking pictures and will have more to tell as the week goes on.  Oh, quick weather update....cool, cloudy, extremely windy.
