Joanne is first to hit the beach of the girls in 16:34 minutes as the 9th American and 37th overall in the tough 35-39 age division. She heads out on the bike in 36 meaning that her two stong disciplines are to come and she will be able to make up some serious time.
Sue, as expected, have a fast swim and is the 2nd American to hit the beach in 8th in the 45-49 age division in 14:30 with Reene in 29th in 17:18.
Then we have the 55-59 age division where Anne, as expected, comes ashore in front, in 4th as the first American in 15:20, followed by Kim in 9th and Darlene in 19th. Anne quickly get through the transition and makes up a spot heading out in 3rd.
The swim is over and the best is to come...
